ECO-DESIGN IN OUR RECYCLABLE PACKAGING

At Coverpan we apply eco-design to our recyclable packaging, optimising each stage of the process to reduce environmental impact. We are committed to creating sustainable solutions that respect the environment and promote the circular economy, without compromising quality.

Renewable materials

Sustainability begins with the choice of raw material suppliers and research into new formulations that have less impact on the environment. We are incorporating materials that reduce the use of virgin material and increasing the use of recovered and recycled material in manufacturing.

Thickness reduction

Lightening the weight of the packaging will help to save costs in the purchase of our packaging, in its storage and transport, with the consequent reduction in CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. It also implies a reduction in the use of raw materials and, ultimately, in the carbon footprint of our product.

Mono-material complexes

Packaging made from a single layer of material is generally easily recyclable. The use of multi-layers can lead to difficulties in the recyclability process as chemical or mechanical methods have to be used which are costly and environmentally aggressive.

What does our packaging look like?

CUSTOMISABLE

A customisable flexible packaging is a type of packaging designed to suit the specific needs of each product and brand. Unlike generic packaging, customisable packaging offers the possibility to adjust its size, shape, design and technical features to meet the requirements of the product to be packaged.

ECOLOGICAL

Recyclable flexible packaging is a type of packaging made from polymers that are designed to be recycled at the end of their useful life. Unlike rigid packaging, flexible packaging is lighter, which makes it ideal for packaging products of different shapes and sizes, and also allows for less use of materials.

INSURANCE

Food safety is fundamental in the design of flexible packaging, as each type of food requires specific conditions to ensure optimal preservation and avoid contamination. Thanks to the versatility of flexible packaging, it is possible to customise structures to meet the highest standards of food protection.

STORAGE

Storage in its original packaging in a low humidity environment and at temperatures between 17ºC and 25ºC is recommended. When the temperature of the storage place is lower than that of the place of use, it is recommended to condition the film for at least 24 hours in the place where it is going to be used. Avoid manoeuvres or blows that could damage or deteriorate the material and/or mandrel during the handling of the reels. It is recommended to use the material within a period not exceeding 12 months from its reception.
